Joseph Lorusso is the President and Founder of SFA. Mr. Lorusso focuses on all day to day activities of the firm; and has the final decision on any portfolio issues.

Mr. Lorusso established SFA in 1993 as an investment advisor to a select group of insurance companies. SFA's focus has been, and continues to be, solely on the structured finance market. SFA is a leading investor in the ABS sector and is known as a sophisticated player specializing in innovative asset types, subordinated investments, and consistent participation in virtually all segments of the structured finance market. The firm is also recognized for its unparalleled monitoring and surveillance effort.

Prior to SFA, Mr. Lorusso served as a Vice President in the Structured Finance Unit at CIGNA Investment from 1989 until 1993. Prior to 1989, Mr. Lorusso pioneered investments in structured finance at Connecticut Mutual (1984-1989). Mr. Lorusso began his career in institutional investing in 1982 as a fixed income analyst for Penn Mutual.
