Collateralized Bond Obligations ("CBO's") are repackagings of debt securities funded by the capital markets through a multi-tranche liability structure. Traditionally, the underlying securities in CBO's have consisted of below investment grade rated high yield bonds and bank loans. SFA was among the first investment managers to apply CBO technology to a diversified portfolio of asset backed securities.
